My name is Dr. Goodluck Kelechi Nnorom, and I currently serve as the Head of the Department of Business Administration at Caleb University, Lagos. Over the years, I have dedicated myself to fostering academic excellence, advancing impactful research, and mentoring the next generation of business leaders.

Academic Background

I hold a PhD in Business Administration with a focus on Strategic Management from Babcock University. My academic journey also includes an MSc in Strategic Management (First Class Honors) and a BSc in Business Administration (First Class Honors), both from Babcock University. These experiences have equipped me with the skills and knowledge to excel in academia and strategic leadership.

Professional Journey

Throughout my career, I have served in various academic and administrative roles that have allowed me to make meaningful contributions to education and organizational development. Currently, as the Head of the Department of Business Administration at Caleb University, I oversee curriculum development, faculty performance, and strategic initiatives that enhance academic delivery and student outcomes.

Before joining Caleb University, I served as a Postgraduate Coordinator and Quality Assurance Officer at Adeleke University and as a Lecturer II at Babcock University. In these roles, I contributed to the development of leadership-focused academic programs and mentored students across various levels.

I am particularly passionate about teaching and supervising research. To date, I have supervised over 50 undergraduate projects and five postgraduate theses, focusing on areas such as strategic management, leadership, and employee engagement.

Research and Publications

My research interests revolve around strategic management, organizational behavior, and employee engagement. I have published several scholarly articles in reputable journals, including studies on intellectual capital, entrepreneurship education, and compensation administration. I am also the author of two books on business communication and customer relationship management, published in Germany.

One of my most personal works, A Good Grade is Possible, offers practical guidance to students striving for academic success, drawing from my own experiences as an undergraduate.

Awards and Recognitions

I am honored to have received several awards in recognition of my contributions to academia and leadership. These include:

  • GenZ HoD of the Year (2024) at Caleb University.
  • Best Lecturer in Business Administration (2023/2024) at Caleb University.
  • Honorary PhD in Leadership and Management Development from the Institute of Leadership, Manpower, and Management Development, Abuja (2023).

Professional Affiliations

I am an active member of Tekedia Institute and a strategic advisor for organizations such as The SCAM Project and HireKoppa Ltd. Additionally, I am affiliated with the Centre for Economic Policy and Development Research (CEPDeR) at Covenant University.

Engagement in Conferences and Training

I have participated in numerous national and international conferences, sharing insights on strategic management, leadership, and economic development. I also facilitate training workshops on statistical tools, strategic planning, and leadership development, helping individuals and organizations achieve their goals.

Personal Vision

At the core of my work is a passion for empowering others through education, research, and mentorship. I am driven by the desire to inspire excellence, foster innovation, and contribute meaningfully to society through my academic and professional endeavors.

This journey has been deeply fulfilling, and I look forward to continuing to make a positive impact in academia, research, and leadership.
