Prof. Sunday Olumuyiwa Adewale is a professor of mathematics. He has made significant contributions as a researcher and educator.
As a man of passion for Education, Prof. Adewale joined the services of LAUTECH as an administrative staff in 2022 and later moved to academia as an Assistant Lecturer in 2004; he has held several academic and administrative positions and engaged in community services. Some of these include Staff Adviser, Head of Department, Member of the Student advisory committee, Student affairs unit, Investment Secretary, Academic Staff Union of the University (ASUU), Member of the Students Disciplinary Committee (SDC), and National Vice President, LAUTECH Alumni Association.
Moreover, Prof. Adewale is a recipient of awards including, the Federal Government Scholarship Award for postgraduate students in 2002, Best Lecturer of Mathematics (2010), Most Approachable and Friendly Lecturer (2011), Honorary Award of Recognition in Outstanding Performance Service to Humanity and landmark contribution towards the development and upliftment of LAUTECH and Nigerian Students at large (2012). Prof. Sunday Adewale is a member of four professional bodies, namely the Society of Industrial and Applied Mathematics USA, the National Association of Mathematical Physics, the Nigerian Mathematical Society, and the Mathematical Association of Nigeria.
Prof. Adewale has participated in several conferences and workshops in all six geo-political zones of the country outside the shores of Nigeria. He has more than Thirty-seven publications to his credit and has supervised Eight Ph.D. students and four Master's students within and outside LAUTECH.
Permit me to mention that Olumuyiwa Sunday Adewale was promoted to the rank of Professor of Mathematics with effect from October 1, 2016, in Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso.
