Dr. Olalekan Akinrinola studied Accountancy in Ogun State Polytechnic (Now Moshood Abiola Polytechnic), Abeokuta where he graduated with HND Distinction in 1993. He attended Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma and graduated with MBA. He has his B.Sc. in Accounting from Crescent University, Abeokuta, M.Sc. in Accounting from St. Monica University, Buea, Cameroon. Dr. Akinrinola has two Doctoral degrees: one in Banking and Finance from Charisma University, Turks & Caicos Island British West Indies, UK and another in Accounting from Babcock University, Ilishan-Remo, Ogun State, Nigeria.
Dr. Akinrinola belongs to professional bodies having started studying for the professional accounting examinations in 1989 and became an Associate, Accounting Technician (AAT) in 1990. He is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (FCA) having passed the final qualifying examination in 1992 before completing his HND; an associate of the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (ACTI) and a fellow of the Association of Forensic Accounting Researchers (FFAR). He has certifications in Basics of Strategic Management and Financial Performance both from the International Business Management Institute, Berlin, Germany.
He lectured in the Department of Accountancy of Ogun State Polytechnic from 1994 to 1997 and also in many Professional Accounting Tuition Centres in Abeokuta and Abuja. He has over 20 years of banking experience and joined Caleb university in 2019 as a Senior Lecturer and currently an Associate Professor and the Acting Head, Department of Accounting, Finance & Taxation. Dr. Olalekan Akinrinola has over 30 publications to his credit.
