Dr. Christmas Isaac ADI is a Nigerian scholar and seasoned law enforcement professional with a deep expertise in Conflict Resolution and Policing. Born in Agoro Town, Bayelsa State, he holds a Ph.D. in Peace and Conflict Studies from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria, along with a Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees in the same field. He also earned a Diploma in Adult Education and Community Development. Dr. Adi's academic pursuits are complemented by his extensive career in the Nigerian Police Force, where he served for over 35 years, culminating in his retirement as a Deputy Superintendent of Police in 2017. His policing career spanned various critical roles, including Officer in Charge of Criminal Intelligence, Divisional Crime Officer, and coordinator of intelligence operations in multiple regions.

In addition to his policing expertise, Dr. Adi has contributed significantly to academia, currently serving as a Lecturer in Peace and Conflict Studies at Caleb University, Lagos. He is actively involved in undergraduate and postgraduate supervision and has participated in several national security-related lectures and workshops outside the university. Dr. Adi is also a member of the Society for Peace Studies and Practice and a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Public Management of Nigeria. His research interests focus on human security, conflict resolution, and the socio-political dynamics affecting Nigeria and the broader West African region.

Dr. Adi’s scholarly contributions include numerous articles and book chapters published in reputable journals. Notable among these is his work on the implications of the Russo-Ukrainian war for global security and the Nigerian context of banditry, insecurity, and peacebuilding efforts. His publications have made significant impacts in the academic and security fields, with his research frequently cited by scholars and policymakers alike. Dr. Adi continues to build on his legacy as a researcher, educator, and practitioner dedicated to promoting peace and security in Nigeria and beyond.
