Obafemi Ibitoye is a highly dedicated Nigerian architect with a strong passion for both architectural design and research. Specializing in postmodern design tools, Ibitoye develops contemporary building models aimed at providing affordable solutions to Nigeria's growing housing challenges. With over 13 years of professional experience and a deep commitment to innovation, he has designed more than 200 structures, including detached homes, apartments, and high-rise buildings.
Ibitoye's architectural training began at Intels Oil and Gas Limited, a leading multinational firm, where he honed his expertise. His career trajectory reflects a strong blend of hands-on design experience and academic excellence. In August 2024, he earned his PhD from the prestigious Caleb University, where he continues to pursue his passion for teaching and research.
In addition to his design work, Ibitoye has served as the Head of the Department of Architecture, Estate Management, and Quantity Surveying at Redeemers College of Technology and Management. His role as an educator is driven by a desire to positively influence the next generation of architects, and he is deeply committed to academic excellence and the advancement of architectural knowledge.
Through his work in both practice and education, Obafemi Ibitoye remains dedicated to making a meaningful impact in the field of architecture, particularly in addressing Nigeria’s housing needs while fostering the growth of future professionals.
